Over the course of a 30-year broadcasting career, Peter has become one of the best known global voices in sports commentary. He is the reigning (2019/20) “Football supporters’ association commentator of the year”.
After eight years on BBC Radio (where he was one of the founding voices of 5-Live and worked on numerous sports including their Sony award-winning golf coverage, tennis, cricket, swimming and – principally – football), he joined ITV in 1998 and became one of the established voices of their football coverage – Champions League, FA Cup and much more. He was also the commentator for their critically acclaimed and award-winning coverage of the University Boat Race.
Since departing ITV, he has established himself as the leading global voice of the Premier League. In addition, he commentates on major tournaments for the international audience…and has broadcast the last two World cup Finals (2014 and 2018) to an audience reaching well into nine figures.
Domestically, he also commentates for BT Sport on their coverage of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League and on the FA cup.
He is the principal commentator for the “Pro Evolution Soccer” computer game…and has worked on several other commercial projects (with Vodafone, Budweiser and other leading brands/campaigns).
